Connection to Your True Self Begins with Curiosity
This journal prompt guides you to tune into yourself and listen (without judgment) to what arises. Prior to the journaling exercise, I encourage you to take a nice walk where you can be with your thoughts for about 15 - 20 minutes and connect with your creativity. Then you can return to a quiet, comfortable space to begin the exercise.
What you’ll need:
25 - 30 uninterrupted minutes
Journal and pen
Reflective prompt:
Curiosity is the doorway back to creativity, joy, and inner alignment. It doesn’t demand a grand purpose or life-altering decision. It just asks that you follow the breadcrumbs of what feels interesting, energizing, or expansive.
Instead of asking what you’re passionate about, try asking the following questions:
What am I curious about right now?
What lights me up, even a little?
What have I stopped permitting myself to explore
Journal what comes up for you. Assess what aligns with your values and what matters to you most. Also think about what depletes you and if/how you can mitigate the impacts of these influences in your daily life.
Set a goal:
Write down one action you are going to take in the next 24 hours to move toward something that sparks your creativity.
Share your goal:
Goals are more likely to happen if you share it with a trusted friend or partner. The added support and encouragement makes it more likely you’ll achieve your goal. If you’d like I’d love to hear what’s coming up for you.
